Tempering Furnace Noise Reduction

Noise Source Analysis:

Tempering furnace noise control is one of the key projects in industrial noise management. During operation, the noise level of a tempering furnace can reach 105~110dB(A), with mid-to-low frequency noise being the dominant characteristic, severely affecting the production and health of personnel in the workshop and factory area.

The noise from the tempering furnace mainly consists of aerodynamic noise generated at the blower outlet of the production line and mechanical, electromagnetic, and other noises produced during the operation of the equipment itself.

Noise Reduction Measures:

1. Add a soundproof enclosure (muffler room) to the blowing section of the tempering furnace. The internal structure is supported by a steel frame, manufactured in the factory, and assembled on-site with bolts. Sound-absorbing wall panels are fixed closely to the frame using self-drilling screws on all sides. A partial sound-absorbing ceiling is designed for the top, and vertical muffler panels are installed in the exhaust area to address heat dissipation and noise reduction for the tempering furnace.

2. Soundproof doors and windows are designed at appropriate locations. The number of doors and windows is determined based on the size and position of the soundproof enclosure to facilitate on-site inspection and maintenance by personnel.

3. Based on actual project results, the noise from the tempering furnace can be controlled below 85dB(A), meeting the national noise standards.
